
Ms. Lorinda Cohen Gomez is an Instructional Professor at Texas A&M University (TAMU), as well as the Associate Department Head and Chair of the Physical Education Activity Program (PEAP), a program in the Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management (KNSM). Ms. Gomez has taught a variety of health and activity classes (KINE 121, 199, 223, 334) at TAMU for 21 years and she has 35 years of experience in archery. Her main teaching areas are archery, strength and conditioning, and personal training, with certifications through the National Strength and Conditioning Association and USA Archery. Her journey began as a national and international competitive archer, retiring in 2004 to focus on coaching and training the nationally recognized TAMU archery team, where she was an athlete and/or coach for 20 out of the 24 overall national team titles. During her competitive career Ms. Gomez was a 4 time All-American, individual and team national champion, and bronze medalist at the World University Championships. Along with her administrative, teaching and coaching responsibilities at TAMU, she has also directed and coordinated several tournaments with USA Archery and World Archery, which have included Texas Shootout, Indoor Nationals, Olympic Trials, U.S. Target Nationals, Youth World Championships, and the Archery World Cup held in the United States.
Jackson Wagner
Mr. Jackson Wagner will be a Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University (TAMU) starting fall 2026. Mr. Wagner has taught health and activity classes (KINE 120, 199) at TAMU for 2 years as a graduate assistant and has 25 years of experience in archery. His main teaching area is archery, with a coaching certification through USA Archery. As a nationally competitive archer, Mr. Wagner represented the TAMU archery team from 2015-2019. During his collegiate archery career, Mr. Wagner was a part of 4 team national titles. The majority of his archery experience is in FITA and 3D archery, while having experience shooting all bow types. After graduating from TAMU in 2019 Mr. Wagner spent five years teaching special education in the public school system, while coaching football, wrestling, and baseball. In 2024 he returned to Aggieland to begin his collegiate coaching career.
