About Us
The main purpose for our student organization is to develop champions in both the classroom and at the archery range. To keep the winning tradition we have established goals for our team to constantly reach for:
- Establish an endowment that will provide tournament funding and a scholarship program to aid in recruitment.
- Act as an ideal example for up and coming archery programs at other universities.
- Produce Aggie archers on an internationally competitive level for both world and Olympic teams.
- Encourage academic and athletic success though rigorous standards and continuing support structures. As you can see, we, the Texas A&M Archers, are a successful team and we look forward in continuing that success both on and off the field!!!
Practice schedules
ARCHERY TEAM PRACTICE LOCATION & TIMES FOR FALL AND SPRING SEMESTERS
**There is no official team practice during the summer**
Archery Room at the Student Rec Center
Thursday 5pm to 7pm
Team members may practice throughout the day (Monday thru Thursday) during the Archery classes with permission of the instructor.
Outdoor Range by Tennis courts
Outdoor range is used for team practices after Indoor Nationals until the end of the Spring semester. Students must go through a training before having access to the range.
Top Gun
Every Thursday at 5:30pm
This time is the same for both indoor and outdoor seasons. It will also consist of the weekly/general meetings. First meeting is Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 5:30pm at the outdoor range. It is labeled PEBC on the campus map. You can park in lot 100d with a valid TAMU parking permit.
New Members
New members will be required to have approval for joining the team by the third (3rd) week at the start of the fall semester. New members must have some prior archery experience and have their own tournament style equipment (Olympic Recurve, Compound, Fixed Pin, Barebow). All new members will be required to go through an orientation to learn the rules and policies of using the range. To be in the archery club and on the team, you must be a member of USA Archery.
